V7 Racer and others - Bar End Mirrors
« on: March 21, 2015, 04:07:10 PM »
Hi - I have done a lot of reading of posts and I see what I think is conflicting info.  I have a V7 Racer  being shipped from Moto International in the next few weeks.  The Mrs has strongly urged me to keep this stock-ish.  However on my V11 Sport I really liked my CRG bar ends.  I have read that the V7 have welded bar ends??  Are the folks that have added bar ends.....was it straightforward.... ..?  What specifically have you done to adapt either CRG, Olberon, Risoma or others.  I promised her this is all I would do.   ;)

Regards,

I had Rizoma's on mine.  They bolt right up and come with the hardware to do it.

Any pics or link I can look at?  We're they welded?

As posted in that thread I used Rhino moto bar ends that have a groove that fits the CRG mirrors just fine.

Whereas most handlebars are completely hollow, Guzzi has welded threaded plate at each end of the V7 bars. These accept M8 screws that secure the barends.  Corsa Italiana sell round barend mirrors that adapt to these fittings -- read the thread referenced earlier.

Pokey,

Considering bar ends for Mary Anne.  Never tried them.  Visibility as good as stalked type?  Comments?
