Lighting Options?
« on: May 15, 2015, 09:23:12 PM »
The headlight brightness and pattern on my "08 1200 Sport is the worst of any cycle I've owned. Low beam is so so and high beam only illuminates the trees! Without spending hundreds and hundreds of dollars on expensive axillary lighting, what options are out there to better light my way on my 1200 Sport?

Make sure they are properly adjusted and install relays to the beams.

How do you like the line of dark shadow right across the point you most need illuminated

Also, you can't adjust the aim on these headlights up/down..
The shape of the 'ears' is molded into the bucket, it only goes in one position

I can use the knurled knob for adjustment up or down together but not independently, if that's what you mean.

Can I  install a higher wattage bulb?

Yeah I guess I shouldn't say 'no adjustment' but not enough.

Biggest irritant is that shadow from the break between the H/L bulbs inside the bucket

I'm planning to add driving lights just haven't gotten around to it.
