"SURRENDER DOROTHY" is how I remembered it. And sure enough, the interwebs did not disappoint...

Then again, when I was watching Predator I didn't think two members of its cast would become governors, either. So you never know.

That looks like the railroad bridge, too.

What I didn't expect was a Wikipedia article on it:

And here is the paper in walkway fence version that Lannis mentioned:

So if marmite is made of marmots, is vegamite made of vegans?

Yes, predictably -- vegans and mites.  Proportions depend on regional custom.

Make sure he can load "The Princess Bride", "Cool Hand Luke", and the "Wizard of Oz" onto your tube.

Never saw "The Wizard of Oz"?   It's not like it's some smart-phone phenomenon, that thing was on TV every year from 1964 on and one of the first movies on VHS.   It would have been extraordinarily difficult to avoid for a 10-year-old child .....

Don't think we ever had a TV , seriously . My Grandfather owned one , we watched baseball , Gunsmoke , and some early NASA stuff . Other than that , until I joined the service , not really around one much . Didn't know who Lucy was until 1971 .

I'm sure you can watch it all on your smartphone.

But ironically, BBC America is showing The Princess Bride this evening.

Smartphone ? Seriously , in the last 30 years the only movies I truly remember are Monty Python sillies , and the Shipping News . Maybe because they are about the only ones viewed  Watching women's WC soccer , only a little bit of acting , and so far no sigh of a bribe

  Dusty

Oops , forgot "Drowning Mona" , brilliant movie

In ALL Mexican and MOST Italian restaurants here, the TV is always playing a soccer match of some kind; sometime between local Brazilian clubs or something but sometimes International matches.

It just amazes me the amount of Oscar-nomination-level acting that goes on to disrupt the game.   Two guys will be after the ball, and one guy will "steal" it and dribble away, and the other guy, even if he doesn't look like he's been TOUCHED, will fall down on the ground holding some body part in apparent AGONY, rolling around and crying like a big girl's blouse while his teammates solicitously gather round in sympathy and wave for the trainer.   It's faker than Faker the fakir at a pantomime, but apparently it's part of the game now and everyone accepts it.

And this from the country that started Rugby, which really IS a bone-breaking, teeth-shattering, blood-drawing man's game ....

If you liked the attitude of Monty Python, you'd appreciate The Princess Bride...
