Arriving
« on: October 14, 2015, 08:34:16 PM »
So exciting!  Checked the US Mail after another blazing hot day at work.  Waiting upon me I find a brand new Dart Marlin fly screen ... Yippee!  After reading reviews by Kev M and others I ordered one to move wind from my chest ... the sail affect... up and over the helmet... Or at least in that vicinity

This Saturday I'll mount it and give it the old college try!  Exciting stuff, this!

Took maybe 20 minutes to mount.  Everything KevM said in his review reflects my experience.  At highway speeds the wind is moved up off my chest.  It no longer pushes me.  The wind around my helmet is smooth, not at all turbulent but maybe a bit louder than it was without the fly screen. Sitting upright or slumping doesn't seem to make much difference.  I wore a full face helmet while riding today which helped with the wind noise.

It seems I jumped to 80ish mph without much wind on my chest at all... I think Kevm said something like, "80 feels like 60 and 60 felt like forty"... Something like that... and that is pretty mucho experience.

Again, easy to mount.  Less wind at highway speeds.  Smoother wind on helmet.  Inexpensive to boot.  Quality components and east to read instructions.
