V7 with old Eldorado fairing possible?
« on: February 03, 2016, 08:17:42 AM »
Love the look of the old eldorado 750.  Especially the old fairing and leg shields.  I wonder if anything is available for the V7 stone that would resemble it in form and function.

I like the Marlin fly screen on my V7, but sometimes wish for a more relaxed ride behind more wind protection... on the other hand, I don't want to spoil the classic design of the V7.

Any ideas?

Yea, not a good idea.  Aside from looking horrendous, you'll get blown away on a bike that light.  For historical purposes - the Eldorado was an 850, Ambassador 750.

The Guzzi "polizia" or "buffalo" fairing is a size too large for a small-block. If you could find one, a V50 NATO/police fairing would be a better fit.

the v50 police fairing and the old V7 fairing are virtually identical,
( i've got them) so it is possible.
not sure about the looks :undecided:

Looks considerably different to me, particularly on the outer edge, forward of the rider's hands:

Loop fairing:

It looks more like the T3 police fairing:

Guess the colder weather just has me thinking about how to "weatherize" the V7.  Soon enough, it will warm up and my mind will turn toward more frequent riding.

Sp fairing might look better. Good aerodynamics too.

I've said it before, I really wish someone made an SP1000 fairing for the V7.
