Maybe he's at a double secret rally with Lannis? :boozing:

He was certainly getting shirty and short in his responses so probably best to power down for a while rather than let the insta-net aggravate him. Too bad about the info-font going too.

Wasn't there someone a while back that was very informative as well and in a fit petulance, erased all his old posts on the way out?

im sure the board is better off with pete being gone, and the unnamed instigators still present...  :boozing:

Where have you been?  And, why have you decided to re-register?

Why do you think the "instigators" are still present?  If there were any...

Why don't you just email Pete and get it from the horse's mouth?

As Dusty said, Pete is all well and is just taking a break.  He's one of the few around here who still actually work for a living...

Oh, Pete doesn't suffer fools gracefully and told me it was time to take a break before he said something he wouldn't regret, but would probably get him banned.  He's fine. Nothing to see here.. move along.

Not much happening at servicemotoguzzi these days, easy to stay current. Waiting until they put v9 docs & parts on it. to see what is changed.

It's summer in Australia.    He's busy riding, and wrenching.

He'll be back.

I too regret having not met him when he passed through my area.

Hopefully, next time.

I totally understand needing a break from the needy. Sooner or later we all need to give up being spoon fed. It must be exhausting for Pete to be constantly putting out fires for Piaggio. Many thanks for all he's done for all of us weekend warriors. My Griso would not be grisoing it it weren't for him. Hope you really enjoy your time away Pete , you are missed from this corner.   :boozing:

Also it takes a group of time to post, with clearly thought out instructions and pictures like Pete does. So we are left without adult supervision, let's try to not screw up too much stuff. I am greatfull that he has done so much to mitigate some of the problems that would have otherwise put more than a few machines in the scrap pile.

Up to now if you want to meet Pete the odds are better if you go to a Guzzi National Rally to do it.  He's made quite a few of them so far.  :boozing:  Don't know if he still has a hankering to roam around the USA any more.............

I appreciate Pete for his frank and straightforward thoughts.  His pictures of service operations go way beyond what is helpful.  Some people are a legend in there own minds but I never ever thought of Pete in that way.

It was a marvel (based especially upon my own poor computer abilities) to me how much time must have gone into photographing and posting those lengthy reports. I try from time to time to photo document work on firearms, motorcycles and other vehicles and never seem to be able to hold continuity.

I usually find an easy accommodation in accepting strangely behaving people by assuming the behavior is somewhat driven by meds. These days they are so prevalent and watching the conduct by life-long-known family members change while under prescription meds is an easily transferrable excuse.
