A thanks to all of our experts
« on: February 01, 2018, 01:10:48 PM »
The Patrick Hayes thread made me think about this . We are so fortunate to have so many true experts here who give freely of their knowledge .

Here , let's give a shout out to these folks .

Lannis for his expertise with Brit bikes and some good financial advice .
Charlie M for always helping out with the old Guzzi and Italian stuff .
Rodekyll for ... well all kinds of input from electrical to computers .
Kiwi Roy for getting a handle on the magic of 'lectricity
Guzzisteve for solving so many mechanical issues
Wayne O for , well , you guys know
Pete for answering so many questions and keeping up with the newer stuff
The late Morizzi nee Yak Fat for helping with Delorto questions

OK , the list is endless , feel free to add to it .

 Dusty

Of course, Patrick Hayes for what was mentioned earlier......Daniel Kalal for his fine photography...and the gentleman "John" (from Ohio) that I bought an OEM speedo / tach set from when my POS Veglia Borletti tach crapped out... :thumb:

Good grief.  I just do meatball stuff that anyone with a crescent wrench and a finger mangle could master.  The real brains of the outfit seem to be a murky affinity of fueling experts.  Meinhoff, Beetle, Frans Belgium and more who I can't name at the moment on account of they keep low profiles . . ..  all good people with some genius and unspellable names, who are willing to do stuff nobody can do, with nothing, for anyone.   :thumb:

When they finally figure out that they can charge money for their services  . . ..

. . . and speaking of that, if the information and advice on WG has helped you, consider sending a few $$ to Luap to help keep the doors open.  The place runs on donations, and it's cheaper to keep it going than to find your answers elsewhere.

Oh -- I see someone beat me to it.  Do it anyway!

Don't forget Carl Allison without who's drawings I'd be screwed.

Is that the same Carl Allison who now lives in Payson, AZ?  Anyone heard from him lately?  I last saw him in May of 2013 in Happy Jack, AZ on this rig. :thumb: :1:

A big thank you from  me to all those who have helped me as I came to grips with getting to know the little foibles of this brand we so love, and an extra big   :thumb: to all those who provide and administer this site.

A particular thanks though to Pete R who at a particularly trying time helped out in an amazing way to someone he had never even met. Ya bloods worth bottling. :thumb:

Carl had to quit riding MCs, even sidecars due to some physical ailment, so he switched all his energy to playing in an amateur string band.  He has guitar skills too.  :thumb:

Nobody is aware that I do high altitude experiments on hamsters, I've had to keep it a secret or everyone will want me to launch their favorite rodent into a low earth orbit. The little beggars seem to love it. If I get bigger rockets then I can launch that herd of cats!
