What could be be more gentrified than a current era V7 with clip-on, rearsets, and a great suspension?Nimble, quick enough to acquire all the citations you can afford, and capable of carrying-on all day long.Plus, fully loaded it probably weighs less than most litre class bike do dry.
Lack luster brakes 1950's suspension and 90% of the weight of a modern litre bike with a 25% of the power odd size wheels that you don't get the advantages of modern sports bike tyre and some of them are saddled with the weight of tubed rims and spokes (unsprung weight is bad mmm.. okaaaay). The make an 1100 sport which is well over 20 years old look sporty simply not in the hunt IMO.I have an Aprilia RSVR1000 factory which is a bit beige maybe it is the gentleman's sport bike I'm looking for something with a bit more bite I'm maybe not much of a gentleman. 1100 sport is showing its late 80's origins. I'm looking towards the KTM 1300's currently however probably the Ducati Multistrada which is at least as fast as a sports bike down most roads could be called the gentleman's sports bike.
For the moment, it's a 1988 BMW K75S, which had 5,922 miles on it when I picked it up 3 months ago. Now has just under 10,000.If I wait long enough most things become affordable. ;-)
