NICE! I think the negative style side covers looks best.

OK, couldn't resist doing this with a blue Stone! I LIKE - A LOT....

Fenders w/ negative Sidecovers:

oh my...I am finding myself drooling over this paint theme...

the negative black panel ties in so well with the seat

and the blue feels like its flowing from the tank to the side...makes it "looks" fast  :boozing:

I really have to stop this, I'm having evil thoughts.... like sell the Sportster and pick up a SECOND V7 (III, Stone, Blue)!

Ugh...

I know right, that's easy, buy and paint an extra set of side covers - swap at each whim!

The real question is why did they put gaitors on the stone and not the special?

I have to say that I too like the side covers done in what you refer to as negative. Either color you worked up looks fantastic!

On the blue, you didn't work up, or at least post, an image of one leaving the back fender black. I can't help but wonder how that might look.

Looks awesome! Great stuff, love the negative side panels. My two ceNts....needs a third color accent to go with/contrast against the blue and black. Just a small touch with pinstripe or a splash of color somewhere, maybe with a different texture than the blue and black....maybe a muted desaturated yellow, red, or green....or the orange tank color from the Special! It'll make the blue stand out more by adding a touch of an opposite or compliment color...triad coloring vs duo. Then again it might ruin the whole look....great work!

Please don't do the green one.  I almost bought the leftover green one with thoughts of adding more OD green and a white star decal on the tank.

Happy with my Carbon though.

I just got an email from MG--the 2017 V7 III leftovers are being discounted $1000 (or you can opt for reduced financing).

Pirelli MT-60's. To get the correct size you need to go with a bias rear and radial front. Guzzi is doing it on the Rough variant and I haven't noticed any ill handling with the combo.

In January I received a $1000 discount AND 0% financing on my Stone. Was too good to pass up.

Great post, especially Kevin's colour coding work which has helped me visualise how I can improve the look of the V7 iii Stone Night Pack in Blu Pungente I've got arriving later this month.  I chose the blue over the black and bronze but felt it was missing something  :thumb: :thumb:

I REALLY thought I was gonna buy a blue one and get some paintwork done. I still think they are the best looking of the Stones.

But alas, Jenn got one look at the Carbon Dark and well, the rest is history.

Definitely show us if you expand the paintwork!!!!

I agree, though would prefer in gloss paint (so over Matte finishes). I also like the brushed fenders from the Milano/Stornello.

While I'm not a fan of matte finishes, I do think the Carbon Dark looks sharp.    Those red valve covers really do give it a good look against all the black.

I think the carbon fiber, as goofy as it is in reality, is a really nice touch on the Dark. And yeah between that and the black and red, it's a sharp looker.

Jenn's got taste, what can I say. I mean OBVIOUSLY....  :boozing:
