WildGuzzi ads
« on: July 25, 2018, 05:37:25 PM »
Greetings all!

The ads have never bothered me, in fact a few have been quite helpful. If they don't hold an interest to me I just ignore them.

However....

I didn't know that if you click on an ad that this site gets just a bit more revenue. How much? Don't know but more is better when money is involved!

So how about when we visit WildGuzzi we click on 1 or 2 ads? Doesn't take much time and it's easy to hit the back button to return to our favorite oil threads!

I hope this will help out the site. Luap has put a LOT of effort into this board and I want it to be here for a LONG time!

Besides, maybe it might generate just enough extra that Luap can take his bride out to Taco Bell!!

Ride safe (and click) often,

Jeff

How much really has a lot of variables, but a good average is a whopping $.10 or so. Some ads that are from bigger advertisers could actually yield as much as $1, but that's rare.

If everyone (4,000 people) clicked once per visit, I could probably retire

I didn't know there was a profit for the site.
Maybe if everyone knew, it would help.
I'll click on them from now on.

Honestly, I never even thought about announcing it.  Seemed like "begging" to me. I hate begging. :thumb:

don't think of it as begging, more like education. I had no idea that the ads could benefit the site.
I just thought the server, or the internet somehow put them up.

I rarely click on any forum's site ads but I did this morning.  I couldn't figure out what the heck the photo was of and finally curiosity got the best of me.  Turns out it was a bed/couch/recliner/dresser combination!

I'll click regularly from now on. :thumb:

Be sure to click on some ads that you have no interest in at all.  That will mess with Uncle Google's head.

Hmmm. Think I'll have a look at that robomower ad.
Should be more interesting than those Russian ladies that usually occupy the ad space!

What is whitelisting?

It's telling your adblocker program to NOT block ads for a particular group of websites (the "white list").
