I've lowered the price to $6000 firm. Please don't make me resort to eBay.

Were the black ones with white wheels '90 models?

As far as I know, the black w/ white wheels were European models. I don't think they were ever imported to the US. As I understand it, the black w/ red frame and wheels was the result of miss-communication between the factory and the US importer. Fran Contaldi ordered red bikes with black frames and when the frames were already painted red, Dr. John (who was working at the factory in Mandello ) called Fran and the black bodywork was decided upon. So, there were 17 black/red bikes shipped in a container with the first 17 1000 S's. I may not have all the details correct as this is from memory from a conversation I had with Nolan Woodbury who had researched the origin of said bikes.

Hope it sells here and doesn't have to go to a stranger.  Perfect LMV.  Pop this baby over to Swap Meet and see if it strikes gold there.

I had lot's of responses (beware, some spam) from listing on MGNOC classifieds when selling my v7r.  I think it was $20-$25 bucks but avoids the huge eBay fees.  FWIW.  Best of Luck.

I created a registry of 1991 LeMans owners and their VINs.  Dave Curci has a copy, as well as some of the other owners.  If the new owner is interested in updating the registry - it is a great resource - have them get in touch with me.  Also, beautiful bike.  Thanks, Bill

Dave Curci is who bought this bike.    I forwarded him this thread, which lead to his interest.

He now has THREE of them.   So, he's cornered the market on 1991 Le Mans even more so than MedicAndy has cornered the 1100 Sport market.

The USA '91 model LeMans 1000s are all black with red frames.  Any color you want, as long as its black!  All 17 of them.

I also talked to Steve and was hoping to buy his LeMans, but I was a day late......

Congratulation to Dave, he got a great bike!
