Fay and I have had people stop and just watch while we carefully pack a cart full of groceries into the TRAX panniers and GIVI top box on the Stelvio.

Amazing how much you can get in there ....

Let me rephrase here.  I know a guy that rides a Harley that knows a guy whom him and his wife both ride Guzzi's

Not trying to be competitive, but I see about six bags in that picture.

My record for my girlfriend and I on my Eldo was seven bags.
That's the combustion chamber of the turbo shaft. It is supposed to be on fire. You just don't usually see it but the case and fairing fell off.

I grocery shop all the time with 1 of my Piaggio MP3s.  I get $60 worth of groceries in/on the 250 no sweat, including a 30 pack of beer in the top case.   Some times I put a 40# bag of bird seed between my legs vertically, no problem.  Stuff goes under the seat, in the trunk, in the top case, between my legs. :thumb:

We've been grocery shopping on motorcycles since we got married, at many points in our early life it was the only way.

Riding 2 bikes helps, riding 2 scooters is like taking a minivan!

Only thing I have a problem with is making it home with a dozen eggs. 2 or 3 are always buggered. May have to rethink my non existant packing system and maybe put them in the saddlebag instead of the top box.

I will park there if the sidewalk is filled the stores outdoor displays.  I wouldn't want to take a whole car space away from someone who needs to park a car.   :boozing:

my wife had a bad blood clot in her leg, so she now sends me to get the groceries, I use to go on "Adventure rides" but now I make it an adventure to get groceries, to the extent of getting top loading bags on my tiger so I can fit more in. About $150 worth, and you should see the people who stop to watch.

Just got back from running errands on the Jackal , last stop was the grocery store . They let me park on the sidewalk under the overhang about 5 feet from the door . The employees probably wouldn't be too surprised if I just rode into the store and started loading the saddlebags

Eggs, like the loaf of bread are better off in a backpack/daypack - less hard bumps, the eggs don't break & the loaf doesn't squash. Beer & other carbonated drinks can be a problem on the rear rack on rough roads, but OK for the short urban haul.

Eggs, like the loaf of bread are better off in a backpack/daypack -

You put the eggs on the bottom so when they break, they don't run all over everything.

Same reason you put the water pipes on the roof - so when they freeze, they're easy to get to.

If I sold these ideas I'd make a million ....

I learned years ago not to put bottles in a top case.   Beer cans OK if the road isn't too bumpy.  :thumb:

I was packing some groceries on the bike at the store one time and woman with one of those snooty lookin' faces walked over and told me I should park in a car space like everyone else.

I told her if she didn't like the way I ride, then stay off the sidewalk.

I only have to go 4 miles.  Better gas mileage moving the store closer to my house.   Sidenote.....I want to get my Elite 250 back on the road.  :thumb:

When I was a kid I rode over to my then-future-wife's place for a family picnic.  There was so much good food there, they said "take some home to the folks".  "Ok, but I've got the bike" (my Dad's Suzuki TC100).  Well, they had a Samsonite make-up case that fit just nicely on the rear rack, & proceeded to fill it with all sorts of delectable goodies.  Needless to say, after 40 minutes on the tail of that pogo stick.... not so delectable.  Never did get all the jello salad outta that makeup case.....
