Did the thinkable. Waiting for spring.
« on: March 02, 2015, 06:28:40 PM »
Ok. It's been the bucket list brand for maybe 10 years.  Lightning struck this weekend with a bike available, dealer with a geneous disposition, and a wife that said "go for it" without even a hint of a haggle.

Wasn't really shopping, but the deal was good for me on what I've long-regarded as a once in a lifetime bike.

Now it's only 10 more weeks until spring.  I'm truly blessed & still in shock that this dream came true.

I'll put up a few more pics- this one from the web was easy to grab.

Very nice bike. I don't know how the hell you guys in the East can handle not riding for such a long time, especially with a new bike on the paddock. I would call it cursed not blessed.  :(

Just like not going grocery shopping while hungry - one should never buy a motorcycle outside of riding seasons. That way lies failed restraints. ~;

Drums,

Fantastic!  Is that the 800?  I test rode a 675 B3 about a year ago.  Very impressive and unique bikes with long heritage.

MV at the time was wrestling with fuel mapping issues and a sprag clutch that broke over and over. So I backed away.
Local Houston dealer was also murdered and the MV franchise recently picked up by a Yamaha dealer.

Love the tuned triple exhausts.  Enjoy and anticipate!

Very nice, the dog's bollox as we like to say.
Mercedes have a share in the company so things should be looking up for MV.

On my bucket list too.  The attention to detail on a Brutale is amazing.

Nice!

Now, you know that rear "fender" (the alien bits that stick out the back) is just begging to be removed, don't you?  ;)

Yep.  Ferracci is a ways away for me.
I did drive down some time ago & didn't realize it was you & the Mrs. taking photos out front w/her new Duc until you'd posted them here.

yeah.  Was quite a while back.  My son & I were leaving dna on the MV's on Feracci's floor at the time.

Everyone's experiences may differ, but I've been generally pleased with what I've given & taken in the relationship.  Got some help on occasions when i needed help-REALLY needed help. Got some good pricing when I would've been content otherwise.  Recived some much apreciated bennies on occasion.  Had poor experience with Piagio, but didn't let it sour me.

I undersand it's a commerce relationship.  I can't do it all alone.  Some tools but not enough, some skills but not enough.

Service can get backed up-  seems like the world descends on the back of the house at the first sign of the weather breaking.  Also, Bill Himelsbach, long time tech & guru is taking a well earned retirement after March.  He's looking forward to paddling a canoe & enjoying his bikes for a while.
