So, MG Cycle had a set of Gilardoni's with a couple fins knocked off they were selling as blem's, so I jumped on 'em. Saved almost $200! They even sent the broken pieces so I can stick 'em back on....

I see they even came with pisstins. :thumb:
Are you replacing chrome barrels with those?

Nice grab. I'll bet a marine propeller shop could repair the broken fins.

Given the location it could be welded but I used JB Weld on a BSA head and its still holding today. Once sanded it even pretty much matches.

Thanks for the heads up. I just bought the other set of blemished gilardonis.

Yeah, I was quite pleased. Pistons, cylinders, wrist pins, & circlips. I added a top end gasket & seal kit.
Muzz - Yes, I picked up an idle 850 T3 last summer to redo as my daily - didn't even turn it over, knowing it had been sitting & had chrome bores....
lucian, Pete - I've a friend who welds alloy for a living, going to have him take a look. If not, Hi Temp JB Weld is my back-up plan. Plan C is just leave 'em off. It'll be a rider, not a looker....
