I need to learn how to employ this tech , just a week or so back there was a critter roaming the hood at 5AM . It wasn't threatening anything , and could have simply been a medium size dog out for its morning perimeter patrol .

JJ... same rig I have. Love it. Use mine for security reasons, but fun for critter watching too.

Some years ago somebody, I can’t remember who, posted a pic taken through his lounge room window of a LARGE mountain lion wandering around his back porch just outside the glass!

Now I can post up lots of pics of snakes and poisonous spiders and the like, our block is verminous with them! But an alpha predator on your porch?!!? Respect! If it was me more than a little bit of wee would of come out!

Respect indeed...I bought my Stealth Cam about a year ago with the hope of someday capturing the image of a mountain lion.  We have them here, but they are extremely elusive...   Maybe someday (?)

An adult mountain lion, (aka, Puma, Cougar) has to kill a deer every 7-10 days to survive...and we have a big population of mule deer in our area.

Used to have a family or two of coons show up at my door, even scratch at it asking for dog food hand outs. The little ones can be so cute

I shouldn't have done this, but one of the mamas had been there as a baby I think. Was pretty tame?? so it would come up to me. Well, one day I decided to hand feed it. Put some food in my palm and it reached out and took a few pieces at a time. Felt kinda like a small dogs paw when it touched, but it could close the fingers.

Coyote sighting last night...you can tell by its stance that it is much larger, with longer legs than the AZ Gray Fox. This one looks big...and healthy!😉😎 Don't leave your cats or little dogs out at night!!!😳😳😳😳

My daughter moved into new digs in Whitefish, Montana. This is one of her new neighbors. She took this shot from her front yard a couple of days back.  Broad daylight, of course.

Had one in my front yard, 15 feet away from me, about 2 months ago.  Been here 35 years and had no idea there were any in the area.

I nearly stepped on this guy walking out the door one morning. I could hear a red tail before I left the house, and it sounded closer than usual, so I was looking up when I swung the screen door outward and knocked it over. I happened to look down before I put my foot all the way down, and saw him, flat on his back, wings out, talons up.

I called the Audubon center, and they advised me to leave the hawk alone, and mom would come get it (mom sounded very close the entire time). By this time, however, it was sitting a foot off the road, so I put on all my heaviest riding gear and relocated it to the back yard. Even as a juvenile, the talons were huge.

Watch out for that last critter...

Below is a favorite of mine from a few years ago. Every year a pair of Canadian geese come to our pond to hatch out their goslings. The picture below reminds me of the Native American sculptures depicting a woman talking to children (storytellers). Last year, they hatched seven; this year, five. They’re really partial to Allflock feed and the fish food we throw in the pond...
