From the Deep Deep South out in left field.  There are no stupid questions.  There are however stupid people asking questions.  🤣, this includes me.  😉

It's 3 hours from me in Columbus, but it's one of those 'Educational' outings that as a Dad, I like to force take the family to .

They are giving rides in the Landing craft apparently ! That sounds like a blast !

Then follow the outing up with the 'Dunkirk' movie. It's my birthday month so I try to get away with as much as I can .

I was going to recommend the Beef & Beer diner up on the hill overlooking the Conneaut exit on I-90, but we just came by there & saw that they are closed..... pity - good grub there.....

A lot of folks around like the White Turkey Drive-In on Rt. 20 near there.....

I spent my US Navy years aboard APA class ships.  We carried 26 of those square-bowed boats (LCVP and LCM's) on board.  Our mission was to land Marines/Army personnel on a beach with some of their smaller support equipment.  You get 30 or so Marines in the well-deck of those "P-boats", with their combat packs on their backs, the bow of the boat can get pretty low in the water.  If the sea is a little rough, it's possible to take on a fair bit of water.

I always knew I'd get old.  How fast it happened was a bit of a surprise, though.
