V7 Spotted in Crescent City plus some trip notes
« on: June 22, 2015, 08:41:37 PM »
Spied a V7 ridden a gal and headed north on US101 in Crescent City. Ahead of her was an FJ09. They are probably still on the road at this time.

Another 300 miles to go for me, the Norge has run absolutely flawlessly for the past 2500 miles so far (this trip). As smooth as ever and running the latest greatest map. It hasn't used one drop of oil.

When I get back, the AGM battery will be replaced with a Lithium, just for weight savings.

I ran all the way back with the MG gel seat for the Norge. I'll bet my ass on it from now on. Long days in the saddle are comfortable and offering a flatter seat, allows for moving around and better support than the stock seat. It alsobhelps with backups in parking lots because I'm a bit lower to the ground. The other benefit is reduced wind noise over the windscreen.

The tablet for GPS mounted on the Gizmo Dash remained as rock solid as ever. I'm able to tilt it down mire because if the lower seat height. A side benefit is much less glare from sunlight on the display. The OsmAnd offline GPS app routed nicely.

Time for a new helmet though, the KBC modular fell off the seat so it will get reolaced with a Kabuto Modular next week.

Pics to follow.
