So, my adult son and I have had a long running conversation, read debate, about motorcycles.
But first, his experiences were on mini bikes, a go kart and a dune buggy in between just for kicks but I digress.
I remember he and I riding a Suzuki 200, two up no less, as he was learning to ride on the street with my weighty self on the back, pillion style. Must have looked a site as we wound that thing beyond it’s limits but to it’s credit it never let us down. Except the cool factor, we were never cool on it. lol
Anyway, I’ve always talked about the virtues of MG and he dutifully listened but never really agreed. He on dual sports, a cruiser or 2 and even a Kawasaki 1200 thrown in for good measure!
Still anxious to “show” him the magic which is Guzzi, he has now totally absconded with my Stornello and is now heard touting the virtues of MG! The twin motor, shaft drive, handing....etc.!
Now I am not upset at all, in fact I am pleased that he is a MG fan and I’m happy to let him ride the Stornello. (He thinks it’s his now anyway, you know possession being 9/10th of the law and all)
After all then, “youth is not wasted on the young”.
