Dart Marlin flyscreen now for V7 and Griso
« on: May 15, 2015, 12:21:46 PM »

There were a bunch of you who wanted to know when our new Marlin flyscreen was going to be available for the Guzzi V7. I've written to most of you, but for the others, you can see it here: http://www.dartflyscreens.com/products/moto-guzzi-v7-marlin.

We've also fitted it to the Griso, and I'm particularly pleased with the way this one looks. Maybe it's the larger bike with the larger screen, or the fact that we styled it loosely on the Mk 1 Le Mans, but somehow it really looks at home on the Griso: http://www.dartflyscreens.com/products/moto-guzzi-griso-1200-marlin

Cheers,

Nice looking screens!  I think the Griso Screen really hits the mark. I never liked the proportion of the gage cluster to the headlight size.

BTW- the griso in your example is an 1100. The unit is labelled as a Griso 1200. Obviously it fits both. The bars have been changed out on the that 1100 as well.

1100 vs 1200 - absolutely right. Now corrected on the website.

Very nice. I've been wondering what would be likely to be available now that the 'Large' factory screen for Griso is NLA. Now I know and won't have to be so precious about mine! :D

Thanks, Steve.  Are the brackets the exact same as those on the smaller classic screen for the Breva?

Also, where does the air deflect compared to the original screen?

I can't see why it wouldn't, but is there any reason why it wouldn't fit on a V11 Sport?

The brackets for the Marlin are larger, as the screen itself is larger. They're not interchangeable.

That's an interesting question... Are the V11 headlight brackets the same as the V7? They do look very similar. If that is the case, it's highly likely it'll fit. Never tried it though.

I have a standard Dart made for the modern V7 series on my '74 V7 Sport.  Measure the width of the headlight bucket, if it's the same it should work.

GREAT product and customer service!

The V11 headlight bracket measures 9" to the outside edges. What's the width of the V7 headlight bracket?

I ordered the "dark tint" Marlin for my Breva today.  It will replace the original Dart fly screen.  I'll post pics later.

I now have a sport fairing on my V7 Special, so I can't get an accurate measurement.  I put the same Dart on my V7 Sport, and it measures approximately 8" bracket to bracket.  There's some wiggle room due to the flexibility of the screen.  Maybe the Griso screen would be a bit larger?   Send Dart an email...

I put a Givi A200 on my V7 stone, and I am very happy with the looks and the performance. I get no turbulence on my helmet at 80, and nice pressure on my chest. I haven't done more than 100 miles at a time with it, but I don't think it will be an issue to tour with it. I had to slightly modify the brackets with a dremel, but it was no big deal. I have used their shields on many different motorcycles, and have been pleased overall. I will try to get some picks soon, but I will be out of town for a few days this week.
