The Quail Gathering

The Quail Motorcycle Show in Carmel, California is a big hit annually.  This year, in addition to nearly 400 show motorcycles, they had a special display dedicated to Military Motorcycles.  There were various Harley and Indian and BMW, but also a few Zundapp and Nimbus and Condor.  I was the lone Military representative from Italy with my SuperAlce.  Also the only Guzzi Single on display.

It was a good time.  My friend Larry and I rode the ride the previous day, also good.  First time I've had a conversation with Gene Romero.  Yahoo.

It's a nice bunch of people and machines from all over the spectrum, we were treated very well.  Showy but not too showy.

It seems to be successful financially and I hope so.  I will be back next year.

 My favorite was the ?? Was not aware of the ?? marque before , although a friend once owned a !! , '21 model if memory serves .
