30th IOWA MGNOC RALLY
Elkader, Iowa, at the City Park and Campground. This a Family oriented rally, bikes, riders and families are welcome. Elkader is in beautiful Northeast Iowa on Highway 13, about halfway between Highway 3 and Highway 18. The park is toward the south end of town and can be seen and accessed from Highway 13. Tent camping Friday and Saturday nights. Early arrivals need to pay at the park Kiosk for extra nights. Coffee, tea and lemonade all weekend. Three meals: Friday, Iowa beef supper; Saturday breakfast; Iowa pork chop supper; rolls and donuts on Sunday morning included in the rally fee. Also: 50/50 Drawing, Observation Poker runs, Guided group lunch ride on Saturday. There is a swimming pool in the park (cost not included in the rally fee). Rest, relax and enjoy all the scenic roads in the area to ride. "Quilt Raffle." Area Motels and Hotels: Franklin Hotel in Strawberry Point 563-933 4788, Guttenberg Motel 563-252-1433, Jailhouse Inn in, Elkader 563 723 0081. Elms Motel 563-422-7600. If these accommodations are filled please ask for recommendations. Registration closes June 30, 2021. Age 25 and older - $45. Under age 25 - $35. At the Rally: Age 25 and older- $55. I had a great time there at the National a few years ago. I'm glad they're keeping it going. Hope the heat isn't too bad.

I did not go because I have only one day I could be there....Saturday. It's not quite on my agenda to ride a 350 mile trip for one meal that would cost me 55 bucks. These rallies never have single day prices. I can have a much more leisurely day & ride staying a bit closer to home at 1/2 the total cost. Maybe next year. It was fine when I could cover it in two days time.

Looks like great weather today. 70 and blue skies right now where I am. Hope you all have fun. One day maybe I'll make it but the family has too much going on today.

Well, hope & pray for Pyro Dan who got hit by a car & trashed his bike. Sounded like a good one w/around 160 folks.

What? Is he ok? Dan is a terrific guy- helped me (and many others) many times. I'll have positive thoughts for him-

I heard 2nd hand, just messed up arm w/cuts. Very good guy, helps everyone.

I was coming back from Toppling Golith when I saw the flashing lights, emts fire, police, etc. They routed us through a motel parking lot. Just got a glance and saw what could have been Pyro Dan's EV. :sad:
Word from the knowledgeable say he's going to be ok. (well as ok as Dan can be..) :evil: :grin: :boozing: At least no head trauma or broken bones as far as I know. Scooter is trashed. The guy can't catch a break, but I guess it could have been (much) worse. Offered to haul his camper to Wisconsin, but he'll come get it at the campground.

Aaw man. I met him at the WI rally last year. Thankful it wasn’t worse.
