. . . screeching cougars in high heels and short skirts . . .
I haven't had a swim in long time! Along with many others I saw the "JAWS" movie when it first came out. Not many people went to the beaches that summer!
Quote from Pandemic:That summer I was living in an apartment that was next door to a theater. The only time any sound would bleed through the wall was at high volume moments and only in the bathroom. A couple of times I was sitting on the pot when that sound they played right before the big shark attacks came through. Made me rise off the seat and take a careful look between the legs. GliderJohn
Don't worry to much about the crocs its the damn sharks that are biting we have had 6 Deaths in the last 12 months and 2 of those have been less than 1 hour south from where I live.I think I'm staying out of the ocean from now on.
My mistake on the 'gator story. I thought the Darwin reference was related to the town in Australia's Nortohern Territory rather than the Biologist and natural selection.
Made the exact same mistake myself. Thought the Americans were confusing our crocs and their 'gators. Seems the "language barrier" got in my way On a slightly different note, I can't help wondering what that poor Texan was taking, to make him jump and will the 'gator need some kind of medical treatment to counteract the poison?

Could be worse, they might have jellied oxymorons.[/quote That reminds me of the old Smothers Brothers skit about Less Ons and More Ons Dusty
Danged Aussies , think the world revolves around you As for your question Bill , while Texans can be a bit , er , egotistical , I don't believe they are actually toxic for gators Dusty
