You will have to admit the one about the hostile takeover of WG was amusing though , right ? Dusty
bump. 8 today so far...
If you really want them to be private, you MUST reply within the forum and not the email notification about the PM. Otherwise, they come to me.7-10 per day still. Not sure what else I can do. The notification even tells you to NOT reply in email. That is all
When I first read this I have to admit I didn't quite grasp what you were saying, so I am going to try to say it another way in the hope of making it more clear for some us:When you get an email saying you have received a Private Message from Wildguzzi, DO NOT REPLY TO THE EMAIL. Instead, go to the Wildguzzi forum, log into your private messages, and reply to the actual message from the message board. Hope that helps
IMPORTANT: Remember, this is just a notification. Please do not reply to this email.Reply to this Personal Message here: (with the link to actually reply. All you have to do is click the link)
Sounds like a board feature that (A) A lot of people don't wantand(B) is a big hassle for you to maintain. Can it simply be turned off, either by you for everyone, or by individuals who are already getting all the Emails they want?Lannis
It can be turned off in your profile settings under "Modify Profile/Personal Messaging/Notify by email every time you receive a personal message:"
Thank you Alan - it made no sense to me till you explained it. Luap - there must be a way to direct emails from notifications to the spam folder. Perhaps send an automatic reply stating the message can't go through - it needs to be entered on WG?
Well thank you very much. I went to "Profiles" to change it, but stopped at the "Notifications" option, didn't look at the one right below it .... ! Fixed for me now, anyway.Lannis

Pretty simple to follow instructions in my book.
If I did that, I wouldn't get notifications of when someone sent me a PM because it would be in spam...
