I’d want to pay about $2500 but the seller probably wants $3500-4,000. This one ready to ride at GoMoto in Minneapolis selling y my friend Marty. I think it was listed for $3200 but not sure of that price.

Or you could buy a project bike for $1800 and drop 3K or so into the restoration.  At least that's what I am doing!   :boozing:

When I am done I will have 5k into a bike I can sell for 3K.

Easy $10K............. That's what I am telling Mrs Bulldog......

She looked good at 10 feet but paint needed refresh, so this is coming along with a polished rear fender, chrome crash bars and SS brake lines......

Kidding aside, is what you are willing to spend and seller is willing to sell. I paid $4500 for mine 2 years ago, and was mechanically perfect. Everything worked 100%, FAC air forks, Ikon shocks, etc. I did a refresh, new wiring harness, removed windjammer & Barcalounger seat & rack (available for sale)  this was how I bought it. Did I overspend? Maybe on a cashflow/investment basis, but I always wanted one, and absolutely love it. Would do it again. Good luck on your search!

I paid just over CDN$3000 US$2,340 for a low milage 13,000 one but it needed new brakes and the wiring around the bars had been chopped around, a previous owner had no right arm so he swapped everything to the left side, Im probably into it for about $4,500 Canadian now and loving it,

If I was to ride again I would pay $10K for this Convert. Checked both boxes, DB bags and Windjammer. Best Guzzi I owned was a Convert.

Several months ago there were 3-4 floating around for sale.

Now that you’ve said outloud you want one, they’ll be unobtanium…

Hey Gusable, where are you located? I picked up my 77 last year for 3500 and I had to do almost 1000 miles round trip to bring it home, I had to do some work on it and it don't look like some of the work that masters on this forum are capable of but it runs and doesn't use oil or leaks and it is a joy to ride, so just as mine sits I wouldn't let it go for less than 5000, and if I could get Dave to make mine look like his I would drop everything and haul it to him today  :boozing:

All this talk about Converts, and the pretty pictures, sure has me missing my Cal II automatic, big time!  I should never have sold that bike. It was so sweet as a sidecar tug, and all around daily rider.  :thumb:

LOL Kidding.  That is a steal for anyone wanting a magic carpet ride...... All kidding aside, I'd be looking for at least $6K for one that clean with those upgrades. That would be quite the blessing for a forum member, but I think you are shorting yourself unless there are issues with the Cal II platform I am unaware of.

PM sent. Getting in line behind gusable just in case. This would make a great 50th wedding anniversary present to me and my bride. I just got 2 new hips on the 11th so this would be a  perfect way to break back into riding later in the year.
