This factory is in Snohomish, Washington. Somebody needs to get their Tonti framed Guzzi converted by this outfit. They're willing to do it.
What is a Tonti frame ?
Interesting video. I didn't know anybody was doing this.I have an older Piaggio MP3. It's more fun, in the right circumstances, than anything else I own. Also crazy stable in turns, compared to one wheel up front.I don't think I'd go with something by such a small manufacturer, but the minute a full-size touring version of my little 250 3-wheeler is produced, I'm there.I think Honda has a prototype. But I'd need luggage.Joe
Lino Tonti designed the frame for Guzzi big blocks, post loop frame to the (2010?) Cal Vintage series..so 850T, V7 Sport, Lemans and so on..also the similar frame for small block v7's.
Where have you been, Joe? MP3s have been made in 400, 500cc sizes for many years now. I have both a `07 250 & `09 400. Have ridden the 400 to 6 western states so far. 400s are NLA new but a new version of the 500s is still available here(500GT).
I'd wait for the Honda Neowing.
Yes, I know. I want a touring rig, ie, to do the job of my Indian. Full fairing, 1000cc maybe, CVT.Along the lines of the Can Am, but which tilts. The Can Am is like riding a quad. Not for me.Joe
I had a dream that I installed an MP3 front end on my EV, pretty different dream. Very doable I think if you had an MP3 to trash.
I put a taller windshield on my 400 and it's my touring scooter. 60-65 mpg, 36L top case, Rev-Pack excursion bag on back seat(acts as back support too), car radial tire on back rim(darkside). When I'm in camping mode(Guzzi rally) my whole rig weighs 900# and I can still take any uphill grade @ 65 mph and have a top speed of 90 mph, cruise @ 80 mph if I want to. This MP3 gives me better weather protection than any MC you can buy. The 500 MP3s have a 95 mph top speed. I have a 55L top case on my 250 MP3 which you can put on the larger MP3s too. The newer MP3s have taller windshields than my earlier scooters had.Riding a MP3 is like sitting on a chair, which I think turns some riders off, but after awhile you accept it. Some attach fold up highway pegs to theirs. I just stick my feet out forward if I want to once in awhile. After awhile I got used to just sitting like on a chair and ride 500 miles that way some times. You can still move your legs around some. It's really a non issue to me. I have 30" inseam legs which barely flat foot on the ground when stopping.
