What are these?
« on: December 22, 2018, 12:05:15 PM »
Please help me identify these items. They’re probably for Moto Guzzis. I’m selling some motorcycle related items for my late brother-in-law’s estate. He was a Guzzi guy who owned three – a 1998 Centauro, a 2001 V11 Sport and a 2001 California EV. The items in the photo probably fit one of these bikes, but not necessarily. If anyone can send me photos of these items actually on a bike, I would really appreciate it.

I can identify the ruler and the can of SeaFoam!  No idea what the red parts would do.  The chrome brackets look an awful lot like they would fit the frame for the 2001 EV.  The EV has threaded receivers BELOW the frame rails and these brackets look to have the proper tubes to feed bolts into those threaded receivers.  However, I've not seen such brackets with a bottom support as shown.  Definitely not GIVI or HepcoBecker.  Also, there are extra, short chromed pieces which I can't identify.

The first & second photo's are maybe  for a back rest to tie stuff to on the Sport. The 3rd photo is bag mounts for the Cali EV on the top of photo and soft luggage mounts on the bottom of photo most likely for the Sport or Centauro.

The red piece looks like part (the lift height lock) of a motorcycle/atv jack such as this one:

Charlie is right about the red part, looks exactly like the one attached to my Craftsman lift.

Even being extraneous parts from a lift, they should bolt right up on any Guzzi.

Is there a way to remove the red jack part photos from my original post so no one wastes their time on it?

Maybe I should just remove this thread and start another one showing only the chrome parts?

No, It may start a discussion of stuff you find in the shop and spend a couple days figuring out what it is and where to put it so you can find it when you want it. its a long winter!

Is that red part for sale? With a little grinding I think I could make a fairing bracket for a T3

I think I have a rusty old fairing bracket to put a Vetter on a Tonti frame if you need one. Let me know I'll start digging

The chrome parts at the top of the pic are the racks that hold the accessory leather panniers on the '98+ California EV:

The chrome parts at the bottom of the pic are saddlebag supports, but for a different motorcycle.  Not sure for what.
