Guzzi used the teardrop gastanks on the California models from the late 1990's until well into the 2000's. On the fuel injected bikes, at some point they changed from an external fuel pump to the internal version. As best I can tell this was about 2003. Can anyone verify? My Son is looking for a tank to fit his Stone, I believe it has the external fuel pump. He needs to know what year-models ha has to choose from.
Thanks, & a happy thanksgiving to all y'all

Yes it was probably a mid year change in 2003. Real easy to tell as there's an oval plate to access the internal pump, filter and level rod on the late tanks. Early, external filter and pump tanks have the electric operated solenoid (usually changed to a manual petcock) and the level sensor next to that.
