Title: 89 Cali 3- dash lights covering
Post by: wavedog on June 17, 2021, 09:35:20 AM
Hey y’all- The dash lights covering and the little colored pieces of plastic that go over the dash lights jumped ship one day at 50 mph and scattered themselves to who knows where. So Anyone have, or know where I can get the clear dash piece and the colored plastic bits for the dash lights? I don’t need the whole instrument pod, just the affore mentioned pieces. I thank you and the old Guzzilla thanks you.

It's a bit pricey but then your guages might not flop around.

Thanks, Steve. I did some adjusting and the gauges are no longer wobbly.

Mine came apart, too. I shot the lock off my wallet and bought the new dash. The holes for the gauge mounting bushings and the dash lights are too small and need to be drilled/reamed out. Fits now.

What kind of LED bulbs did you use in your indicators?

I have leds in mine, they are bright, bright enough to see in sunshine but a bit bright for night time, so I have used a black paint pen to fill in the constantly on low beam and also the high beam indicators at the bottom, still seeable in day light but not overbearing at night. I think the price for the dash is quite reasonable in fact it has only gone up a little since I bought one a few years ago as a spare. Milles are pretty rare and so are some parts for them so I have collected some spares of various things that I think might be needed. Superbright Leds is my go to source for leds. Thanks to Charlie for the source!
