SoCal Sunday Ride...
« on: March 08, 2015, 07:19:48 PM »

Nine SoCal Guzzi Riders out for a decent blast through the hills today… Seven of which were Vintage LeMans.  Normzone and I were there as well on our Calis...

Checking the livery before take off…  and a riders meeting prior with Billy Ross, World Record holder at Bonneville on the Mandelo Meteor.

Normzone and the Calis...

Series One LeMans

‘83 850.…

‘76 to ‘89...

The gang…

The significance of the ‘89 Lemans to me is that there were fifty-two (52) imported to the US that year, I bought one new in 1990...

Thanks for a great ride guys, excellent roads and company.

Best,
Rob

Sorry I missed it. I had the red an black jackal that would've tied the Lemans into the cali.

You were missed Kevin, hoping your Son is ok.

So Rob, did you manage to find an interesting way home from Julian to Chula Vista, without setting wheel to slab?

I figured you'd go through the Cuyamacas, down to Mexico and back up.

It was a lot of fun, much thanks to all of you.
That's the combustion chamber of the turbo shaft. It is supposed to be on fire. You just don't usually see it but the case and fairing fell off.

MEBC is the Moto Euro Breakfast Club.  It is a group of european motorcycle owners that meet every saturday morning at different locations in San Diego County.  Sometimes up in Temecula.  khsbob@roadrunner.com is the e-mail of Bob Vivors who sends out the weekly messages as to where the breakfast is.  If you want to get the messages then e-mail Bob and ask to be added to the list for the MEBC.

Close, I went down 79 to Japatul Valley Road to Lyons Valley Road to Honey Springs Road to Campo Road to Otay Lakes and into Chula Vista...

What a great day...

Japatul Valley, Skyline Truck Trail and Honey Springs is a nice ride, I'm out of Otay Lakes area. Haven't seen any Guzzi folks there. Scissors Crossing is a nice ride out from Julian on the Banner grade as well.

Dionysius,
I ride out that way to get out of town any time I ride, stayiong in Chula Vista this time...  I must ride right by your place.  What are you riding...?  Sunday breakfast rides to Pine Valley are always a good ime.

Lemme know if you want to go for a blast sometime.

Best,
Rob

Sure, sounds great. Off to Long Beach next week, maybe Sunday. I'm no speed racer, just enjoying my V7 Stone. The roads east of Chula Vista are excellent.
