Title: Moto Grappa Tech & Tire Days 2021 [Vid Added]
Post by: Iron Cross Junction on June 16, 2021, 07:18:55 PM

Many of you have told me how you and others have been near distraught at the delay in getting pix posted of the recently concluded Moto Grappa Tech & Tire Days, 2021 [abbreviated confusingly and saving only few letters as "MGTTD MMXXI."]

OK, OK, maybe only person has, and he was being facetious.

Still, I felt obligated to get those out there.  Besides, Kathi, freshly returned from Seattle, thinks “working” on the slideshow was simply yet another ploy to avoid knocking items off her “List," so I had to finish quickly.  :thewife:

A word for those who — rather understandably — see my slideshows as the pictorial equivalent of TLDR: don’t open the url.  But, know that it could have been much worse; I started with 500+ photos, and now have “only” 155.

The link opens in “landscape collage,” and captions appear when hovering your cursor over a pic.  You can go to fullscreen and play the show or advance manually, but captions often “fall off” when doing that so it can be problematic.  That said, if you have any interest in viewing the three brief (a few seconds long) videos, you have to go to fullscreen to see those.

Enough “legals;” I can’t help it.  :embarrassed:

Here are the pix:

Wonderful slide show.  I especially like the pics of that good looking bar tender.
Cheers!

Well, I slept in and then just looked out in the driveway to see if my hints might have resulted in a Father's Day gift of something orange.

Sigh.  Just gravel (and a bazillion dead cicadas) out there.

But, yes, I think one is in my future, but balancing want -- something big enough to plow an Iowa cornfield  -- and need -- well, I really don't need anything.  But, after all, we ride motorcycles, so we know that "need" is not the standard.

Seriously, if I had a blank check and Kathi's smile (happily, I always have the latter ), I am still unsure of what model to buy.  More is the stuff of another thread, but probably here: https://www.tractorbynet.com

Returning to Guzzis for a moment, I am riding the EV to Erie tomorrow on another of our "eldercare" runs to look after Kathi's 99-YO dad (and his 87-YO girlfriend!).  "In season," Kathi drives and I ride.  I take two days on all the back roads I can fine, so we don't convoy, but it's nice to have a "sag wagon" with tools and other gear on call.

The EV has 104K and still runs and looks mighty fine.

Come visit sometime and help me pick out the right Kubota; only water separates us.

Best,

Bill

My next door neighbor just bought a new Massy Ferguson compact tractor. Pretty nice looking tractor. Seems to perform quite well.

Apologies for reviving a p.2 post, but a friend, Avner (and neighbor, Guzzista, & MGTTD attendee) just sent me a vid that he put together of the Saturday's ride:

He captured some nice stretches of that great run on some fine local roads.   :thumb:

I am, BTW, in Erie.  Rode up part of the way with Bulldog89 who, "as we speak," is wandering around New York State on his 1200 Sport.

We had a wet and cold ride yesterday morning, but if you whine (too much ) about such things, you probably shouldn't ride motorcycles.

Had dried out by time I took this on Pa. SR 666 near Mayburg.

I'd love to Bill.  Sadly I think we have one trip left. and that would be to The Netherlands where the daughter and her family live. (That's if we can ever get to travel again with - running around)

As I'm sitting here at work looking through these photos I'm reminded that my time and energy is being dedicated to a bunch of old retired farts sitting around some bikes and talking trash.

If you want an Italian tractor Bill, you should check out McCormick's. The bigger ones are made in Lawrenceville, GA.
