It's been in my blood a long time.

My Dad's scooter behind us three kids, 1961 ....

Unfortunately, the week after this was taken, a drunk pulled out in front of him from a side road and my Dad got his leg broken really badly ... so no more scooter ...

Lannis, that's a classic photo!
My Italian beauties...this was my wife's "starter wheels"--she rode the Tail of the Dragon on it like a boss!  Now she's also the proud owner of a Royal Enfield Himalayan.  Gotta say, the 2007 Vespa 250ie is great fun to ride, goes 75 with me on it and feels quite stable the whole time.  Riding it after the Stelvio makes you feel like you're on an electric bike..

Hey, me too!
Currently have two. Aprilia Mojito Custom 150. Uses the same mechanicals as a Vespa. But looks more ‘Merican.

And a Yamaha Morphous 250. I call it the WV lowrider. Unusual looks, runs great.

I have come to the conclusion that when you (me) get older you want the right tool for the job. Why take the heavy Guzzi or the even heavier Victory if you’re not going very far?

They are a blast to ride.

Love my Mojito!!  Wife has the Vespa S150. It's always fun to be able to ride any two wheeler at their limits. Can't really do that with most bikes without flirtin' with disaster!!

I have an '05 Piaggio Typhoon in the garage, but it hasn't been getting many miles on if for a couple of years. My daughter rode to university and a summer job for a year or so, but she had a couple of mishaps on it, sliding out on a sandy corner, hitting the back of a car from following too close. I was a little relieved when she gave up riding it. The Typhoon's body work was in pretty rough shape when she was done with it, and nobody else has wanted to ride it since. This year I've been trying to spruce it up enough so that someone would want to ride it or even buy it.

I have a 2013 Piaggio BV350. Great scooter. Two weeks ago I did 1300 miles in 2 1/2 days in the beautiful driftless region of Wisconsin. She'll carve or run the interstate at 75-80 mph all day long. I'll always have a BV350 in my stable; they are that good!

Another thumbs up vote here for the BV Piaggio...I have a 2007 carb BV250...24k miles...perfect for city,  but I’m sure I could go on the highway all day long And do go for an hour long ride to get a cuppa coffee at hiway speeds

It's 3km to work, so not worth taking any bike, or car, so I have a Piaggio Zip 50 2T to get to work, year round.  Just dodged a bullet when the oil pump feed to carb got a blockage, so now on premix.

And for those of you at a certain age.... :whip2:

I’ll just beat this horse again... :bike-037:

Needing a step thru...but still need some “action “ shall we say..

I’d put this in the good deal category

Yep, an 09' MP3 400. Great run about and can be used for about anything a similar displacement motorcycle can do.
