Guzzi mechanics in Colorado?
« on: July 27, 2019, 11:50:04 AM »
My sis just bought a home near Glenwood Springs.  Carbondale to be exact.  She has offered to let me store a bike in her garage.  I'd love to take one of my Guzzi's there.  Is there anyone I can trust close to Glenwood Springs/Carbondale for service?  Otherwise I'll take my Honda as there is a Honda dealer in Glenwood Springs.

I’m not aware of any Guzzi dealers in Colorado other than Erico in Denver.  Isn’t there a dealer in Salt Lake?

Also a dealer in Fort Collins. Both are too far away for practical help. However there are good independent mechanics and half a dozen veteran Guzzisti who do their own wrenching, within an hour's drive. At least one Elder right there in Cdale.

Unfortunately Moto Italia is no more. That leaves Erico as the only option.

I don't think any Guzzi dealer can help with a legacy Guzzi as well as a good independent mechanic.  If you're a Guzzi guy, you're likely doing you own routine stuff like fluids and valve adjustments.  I'd say not to worry about it.  If you have big problem, you'd have to find someone to fix it and get the bike there wherever you live.  In so far as parts go, they get shipped off the internet, whether to your door or do the dealer is the real choice.
