If your going to the bother of making a post, put a headline that gives an idea what it’s about!  “Rally “, that could refer to any rally anywhere, or maybe it’s not even about a single rally, maybe it’s about rally food, games, gear or whatever.  Put something in the title that refers to the specific rally your talking about and you will get far more looks from the actual people you’re trying to reach.   You’re welcome.

Long range forecast calling for sunny and 69-degrees.  Of course it could be snowing and 25-degrees.  You can never tell with this event!  Nice group of BMW, Guzzi, and Sport-Touring types attend this event, which has been reliably hanging in there for something approaching 20 years, I think.

Fantastic view from the campground,  day or night.  Plenty of places to ride to in the area.  It's a "not a rally", so be prepared to fend for yourself, though some people to bring enough food and drink to share.

Here's the email:

Fools On A Hill 2019 (March 29 thru March 31)

It’s getting close to April Fools’ day and that can mean only one thing.  It’s time to reserve a campsite and mark your calendars for the 110th annual Fools on a Hill camping/motorcycle riding event.

We will hold our epic Fools on a Hill camping event just before April Fools’ day at the Mount Nebo campground from Friday, March 29th through Sunday, March 31st.

You may want to reserve a campsite ASAP because the campground tends to fill up fast.  The campsites cost $22 per night and they allow two tents on each site. The check in / check out time is 3 pm.  The phone number for the campground is 479-229-3655.

It's been a fun get-together, and the first event of the year in our part of the world.  I've been there four or five times, but won't be there this year.

It used to be held in Feb and I remember the year the water that Mac and Ann had in their tent to make coffee froze. Snow on the ground. Some that attended said they'd NEVER ride up the hill again. I've been up it many times pulling a KwikKamp. Don't STOP on the way up and you will be fine. We had to wait for the ice to melt on the curves going downhill. It is a beautiful place. If you haven't made it, then go.

Really thought I was going to be blown off the road a couple of times...it was a 4-hour wrestling match...took secondary highways through the hills thinking the wind would be somehat blocked.
.nope...ended up in the opposite lane too many times...

For a long time, it was the last weekend of winter, which meant the middle of March.  Since Mario passed the torch, the date has floated past the spring equinox and to around the 1st of April.

Made it home, yes...

Speaking of Mario, he showed up around 1 pm Friday, saw the Norge and stopped  to say hi and recommend a Thai/ Vietnamese restaurant in nearby Danville, AR...said he couldn't attend due to family concerns...nice guy
