Hi Dave. We have a couple new folks not far from Cross Country so I'll try to recruit one of them to drop by. If someone can't I may be able to make it Friday after work or possibly on my ride home from our Saturday ride. I also know one of the sales guys there and will try to get the story or at least, where the bike was purchased. Would be good to know if the first service was performed by someone competent.

Is there something specific you want to know? One thing I did notice in the pictures is that the luggage rack looks a little off-center. Could be the photo is not perfectly straight...

Thanks Eric, I asked about service and its history, sales rep told me bike was too tall for prior owner and no service was done, so the 1st service still needs to be done, even though not a MG dealer, im surprised they dont at least do an oil change and ck the nuts and bolts...Appreciate it.

Dave - I've posted your request on our NJ site. I had hoped to make it out this weekend but with preparations underway for family visiting in a couple days it's not looking good.

UPDATE: I rode to Cross Country Sunday to find out they've changed their hours and are now closed Sun & Mon. With family visiting this week/weekend I can't get there anytime soon. Will see if I can find someone else to take a look for you.

I'll stop by there next week either Wednesday or Thursday depending on my seminar schedule.  Besides your question RE: First Service, is there anything specific that I should be looking for?  I'll look for signs of abuse, tipover, etc.

Apologies for the delayed response.  I did stop and see the bike.  Metutchen has ll their used bikes in a desperate building.  When I went the salesman was working with a customer.  I crawled between several bikes to get to the Guzzi.  It is very clean, but it has not been washed/detailed.  There is road dirt on the front and bottom of the engine.  I never was able to speak to the salesman, nor did he acknowledge my presence...

My take:  They intend to flip this bike.  They are not going to put any unnecessary effort into it.  Sorry that it took so long to respond and the lack of information I have provided.  Good luck.

Thanks Eric! That separate used bike building is indeed desperate! Sorry nobody paid any attention to you but per Dave's conversation with a salesman it backs up that they're just flipping the bike as it. To me that's an opportunity to make a low-ball offer.
