One of the smoothest singers ever, song writer, and a really good old boy. I had the pleasure of meeting him in Branson one time. His duet with Emmylou Harris was one of the greatest.

We just listened to his "Twentieth Century Masters" album in memory. The quality of his voice is/was always very soothing, excellent listening with my favorite girl tonight celebrating our tenth anniversary.

I left Oklahoma drivin' in a Pontiac
Just about to lose my mind
I was goin' on to Arizona, maybe on to California
Where all the people live so fine
My baby said I was crazy, my momma called me lazy
I was goin' to show 'em all this time
'Cause you know I ain't no fool and I don't need no more schoolin'
I was born to just walk the line
Livin' on Tulsa time
Livin' on Tulsa time
Well, you know I've been through it
When I set my watch back to it
Livin' on Tulsa time

I LOVEd to listen to Don Williams sing when I lived in Vancouver, Wa. on the FM radio station out of Portland, Or. back in the late `70's, early `80's.   After then it was hard to hear him any more where I was in (norCal)   Those were the days I was really into Country music.  RIP Don.
