Very nice, Daniel.  That first picture of Tsawwassen must be from the eighties?  My cousin is now a captain for BC Ferries,  and I can't count the number of trips I have made between the mainland and the Island.  Never get tired of it, though.

Cheers,
Shaun

You don't have a picture of the Port Townsend to Keystone ferry.
Sasquatch Jim        Humanoid, sort of.

That would be because I've not ever been on that ferry on a Guzzi to take a photograph.

(I took that first BC ferry photograph in 1995)

Great Photos Daniel!

Your photos always inspire me to get out and ride more distance.  Wonderful!

Almost certainly the oldest boat pictured is the Port Angeles to Vicotria ferry (Coho 1959) which I've never ridden - and I've lived here (almost) all my life!  Never been on the international run from San Juan Is. to Sydney either...  Gotta get my but in gear!

Here's a boat from 1927 (unfortunately scrapped and replaced with a problematic "modern" boat):

Thanks,
Shawn

Daniel,

I love all photo essays, and yours are particularly evocative and inspiring.  I hope you don't mind that I add a few more:  (all Fauntleroy-Vashon run)
