That’s almost my backyard. How delightful! I’ve never been to a motorcycle rally. Hopefully this’ll be the first (being optimistic that current virus circumstance will be less substantial by then)

What are you 75 mi. away?  Pack your stuff for a weekend.  Camp out.  Nice campgrounds.  Would be a test ride for you.  With the Moto Guzzi demo fleet there.  You'll have a good time.  The rally fee is worth it.  The caterer that did the meals last time was excellent.  Keene has some nice restaurants too.

About 150 for me, so kinda close. Ive been to a few rallys, but never a Guzzi one. well unless you count the IMOC one a few years ago..  Looks like it will be a blast. I hope I can make it.   Here is hoping the whole - thing is wrapping up by then!!!

My family is in Dover as well. And 9 across southern Vermont is a great ride. Problem coming from Central Indiana is Ohio and NY.  :coffee:

I'd be interested if anyone else considered making the trip from this part of the world on 2 wheels.

1500 miles...hmm. I could kill a lot of birds with one stone on this one. I need to ride the dragon, want to visit D.C. too. Would be right at 3200 mile round trip.  Definitely on my radar for now...

I've done a lot of work in Peterborough. Usually stayed in Keene, been there many times all 4 seasons. Always beautiful. Some cool old graveyards if you venture down the dirt roads.
Great area!

Im trying to preplan as much as I can..  Between -, and responsibilities at home pre reg is not a option for me...  That being said for all that know the aera, how close are the hotels to the grounds? Are camp sites right near the main rally? I like hotels..  but am fine with camping, just wondering what might be best.

Looks like a nice ride for me.. I can take the pike to rte 91... or better up through bennington, or through northwestern mass, over to rte 9...  doesn't look like many towns, and vary little straight lines on the map, so doesnt look like the pike will be in the cards for me...

Randy is a really nice guy.

I would like to make this rally, probably trailer a bike up to Guzziowners and ride up from there.

A little longer for me.  I'd be coming up from 16th St. & McDowell in Phx.  but the trip would actually start in Kona to Phx. by air then get my bike......blah....b lah....blah....🤪

Last time I wimped out.  Flew HAL KOAHNL HNLEWR then bus to Manhattan.  Taxi to the friends place in the East Village.  Greyhound the next day to Keene.  The last time I did any long bus rides was back in uniform.  Pretty cool now.  Wifi on board with 110v outlets.  I had to change buses in BOS bus & train terminal.  Impressive terminal was almost like being at an airport with different multi-level boarding gates.  Trains on the bottom and buses up above.

A motorcycle ride cross country.  Easy Peasy!  🤪🤪🤪

My version of "Planes, Trains & Automobiles".     Not for the weak.  13 hr plane ride to Newark International.

The 2015 one was nice and in the very same spot, wasn't it?.   Lots of room to camp ... I'll have had 6 more years since then of winding down wanting to "camp" and preferring hotels, but will probably do it anyway both in recognition of my fixed-income pensioner status, and because you can just fall into bed after you're done talking and "wettin' the lips" rather than heading off-site after dark for a hotel.

Probably won't plan much ahead, because there's no telling what the "issue of the day" might be, affecting travel and accommodations; but I'm not so poor that I can't afford a sporting flutter on $75.   If it's too hard, or I need an implanted chip to cross New York State or something, then the rally can always use it .... !

Didn't you get a lot of rain on that trip?

Nothing wrong with your memory!

It's a 1300 mile round trip for me (no interstates), and coming home, I rode through the hardest rain I think I've ever ridden through.   By the time I wanted to pull over and stop, it was too late to pull over and stop; couldn't see the roadside and afraid someone might be following my taillight and hit me.   Just had to keep going, in amazement that the Stelvio could swallow that much water and keep running.  That was in Connecticut.

By the time I got to Harrisburg, PA on US15 that evening, I was riding into the ugliest mammato-cumulus squall line I'd seen in a while, so right before I hit it, I pulled into a Holiday Inn Express and under their portico.   I'd had all the blinding rain squalls I wanted, and ESPECIALLY not after dark!

It's the "Express" version, right, like an "Express Lane" cheap convenience store, or "Holiday Inn Lite".   Not in Harrisburg it wasn't, $140 to stay for 10 hours but once they hit me with the price, it was too late to get back on the bike .... !!

Trips to rallies always have memories.   At the 2015 Rally I rode a demo V7-III, got help replacing my spark plug lead, met Randy Tefft, blackcat, and other Guzzi notables, and got a hug from some guy from Hawaii ... !!

I hung out with Randy & Natalie there till around 2P.  Randy took me back to the bus station to get back to the Ease Village.  Short leash because of work

That was right around the time that Randy T. was doing a fundraiser, riding a Rokon TrailBreaker across the continent, can't remember whether he was getting ready to start or had just finished ....
