California III Front Right Brake Hose Advice
« on: June 22, 2021, 07:11:10 AM »
I am in need of a 1990 California III front right brake hose with fittings for the standard F08 Brembo caliper.  The fittings are M10 x 1.0 pitch.  Or alternative advice welcome on solutions.  Local brake shops do not have the right fittings to fit the flare in the Brembo F08.  pic attached....the hose is about 42 inches long.

Have you tried MG Cycle? I'm doing brake work now on my EV, got fittings from Summit Racing right down the road 30mi.

there are a couple of others too that will do custom. I'd get the one with the swivel fitting on one end. It makes life easier.

The pic doesn't enlarge when I click on it, so it's not very useful.

Have you tried a custom brake line maker on-line? There are many. If you have the original line, you can simply ship it to them to copy.
I have Russell brake lines on my SP1000 which has F08's on the front. They were on it when I bought the bike, so I don't have any other info about them.

You don't have to stick with the original configuration. Simple enough to use Magnum BYO fittings and hose to make another.

I like the Frentubo lines that MG used to sell, they had nothing for an EV. I called Bellissimoto in Vegas area, they are a Frentubo dealer. Have to specify that year is a Classic model to get what you need.
Now I need the hard pipe cause things didn't come apart after 23yrs.

Thanks all.  I contacted several US places as suggested.  Ended up using Charlie's suggestion for Teo Lamar because they are direct fit.  I could tell by looking at the fittings.  Was about the same price for the hose and shipping as Spiegler wanted for just the hose with fittings I was not quite confident about.  Thanks again.

Dennis Kirk has that stuff and ships quickly so that’s another option https://www.denniskirk.com/search/Brake+line.q

I had a local hydraulic shop make a right front brake line for my Cal recently. They had the correct fittings and the price was $30. I was given the option of four different colors of braided stainless line but I went with the black neoprene to keep it looking stock.

Thanks guys....local shops did not have the fittings.  Spiegler could do it but I went with Teo Lamer who had an new one for about the same price including shipping.  All should be good now.
