1968 Cycle Illustated V7 review
« on: February 08, 2015, 05:27:16 PM »
I found this in an old mag that was laying around. I scanned it and put in a photobucket folder if anyone is interested. Once you click on the first pic you can use the magnifier button to get the full page view. The first sentence still holds true today.

Thanks for posting that. Saw the first V700  when one came to my home town in Italy in 1966. From my 10 year old boy prospective that was mind blowing. Still consider that  a defining moment  in my life as a motorcyclist. Cheers

BPRM,

Superb article and very interesting!  Wow what a huge fuel tank:  over seven gallons?

Really the bike's bloodline certainly has continued to this day.  I like that concept, I like it a lot.

Much thanks!

And already, in 1968, the ur-fable:

"This engine was originally used in an automobile, then transferred to Italian MP motorcycles."

A story too good to die.
