Ford owner. In spades. (NGC)

From a Mustang forum:

" My car was idling like crap the other day so I figured since I just got it, it may have been awhile since anyone changed the oil out. I decided to go ahead and change the oil. I used Mobile 1 synthentic oil like I was reccomended on here. Anyways, I drain out the oil and noticed it was extremely dark and even after 10 minutes of draining, it was still coming out. I decided to go ahead and flush it to make sure all the bad stuff got out. I hooked up the hose, ran water through the engine, started it up and was waiting for the water to come out clean (The engine never went above idle so I was told this would be ok). Anyways, About 3 minutes into this, then engine starts shaking and shuts off. I figured it was all cleaned out so I plugged it up, added the oil and figured I was ready to go. WRONG! The car won't freaking start now. This car has been nothing but trouble for me, I think I am done with it." :thumb:

Any fool knows that in this case one must use distilled water only! It's obviously the fluoridation that did our man dirty. :boxing:

A Camaro guy would never make that mistake. :boozing:

Yeah, troll post.  It reminds me of the multipage thread started by a guy who claimed he poured an energy drink that looked like a gasoline additive into his motorcycle's gas tank.

Mobile oil is a cheap Alabama knockoff of Mobil oil.  No bloody wonder he has problems.

My buddy's mother has a 1979 Mustang Cobra, 302, 3 speed, garage kept, clean, driven by a little old lady.  I tell her every time I see Her,  I want the car when it is time to sell.  I ended up with the car.

Time to change the oil.  Damn, Little old Lady did not maintain the car as I thought.  It only had 2 quart of oil.  I fill it up with 5 quarts as required.  Fire up the motor and oil comes out of the filler cap and the dipstick hose.  What the heck, now I have a huge mess and a car that with a  bad motor.  After a couple of phone calls, I found out that the motor sits over the front cross member and has 2 drain plugs.  Blonde moment.

Nope, not a troll post.  The link to the incident on the Mustang forum was posted on a GM 6.5 liter diesel forum I hang out on as I've had one of those vehicles for many years.  I read all the replies to this clever plug that did the deed.  From what I could ascertain, it's for real.
I was just amazed and thought I'd pass it on.
