Can anyone tell me the length of the two springs inside each fork leg on a Le Mans 2 please?
They differ from the one piece items of most other big Guzzi's of the period and after a lot of searching I can only find one reference to the 'as new' lengths. Gutsibits quote the following on their advert for the springs; 350mm / 95mm.
I'd like confirmation because I've just measured the springs from one of my forks and they're 335mm / 94mm; need to know if i've got to buy some new one's.

According to my Parts Book for the Le Mans II, it uses the same two-piece spring set as the V1000 G5 and SP 1000 of the same era. These are part numbers:
17.52.69.60 (long) 350 mm
18.52.66.60 (short) 97 mm
It sounds like your springs have settled a bit, especially the long one. You can order a new set from MG Cycle, or another supplier nearer to your UK location, under a part number for the set of 18.52.69.60. Have a look here:

For about twice that price, you can directly swap in a set of Wirth progressively wound springs:

Thanks for the info Bob.
I'm going to order a set of originals as I've taken a lot of weight off the front end with an Airtech fairing and not fitted the side fairings.

My new springs arrived today from Gutsibits. Labelled up as 18.52.69.60, so they're the correct items.
However, they measure out at 346.5mm for one long spring, with the other one at 340mm.
I've emailed Gutsibits and am awaiting a reply; seriously pissed off though.
