Ace called me yesterday and wanted me to pass this information on to those who may need advance notice to schedule vacation, etc.
28th ANNUAL MISSOURI-KANSAS (MO-KAN) RALLY
At the Pony Express Campground. A few miles south of Maysville, on Missouri Highway 33.
$55 registration for adults, $5 registration for children 12 years and under. $50 if you pre-register.
Includes camping, dinner, and beverage for Friday and Saturday. Also includes breakfast on Saturday morning. Guzzi riders coming before Friday need to check in with the campground office and pay the daily camping fee. Send registration fee to: MO-KAN GUZZI, 816 Lincoln Street, St. Joseph, Missouri 64501. Note from me: I can personally vouch for the fun time of this rally. In fact, the Mo-Kan rally in 1998 was the 2nd rally I ever attended (Ks was first) and I was hooked. If you've never been, you should go. If you don't like music, adult beverages, motorcycle games, good food and visiting...this one is not for you. I've been to all but maybe 5 of them since '98, yet haven't been in 2 years due to work. But it's on my radar again this year.

Those guys are starting to get a handle on the rally thang. Good turnout and a bunch of good folks. This is like a slice of Americana with a great family atmosphere and GENERATIONS of Guzzi family. Plenty of historical things to see in the area. Highly recommended.

28TH ANNUAL MO-KAN GUZZI CLUB MISSOURI RALLY
Pony Express RV Park, Maysville, Missouri. Join us Friday for chili & hot dogs drinks and live entertainment, Begin your Saturday with breakfast of sausage, eggs, pancakes and of course coffee. We will have a poker run and we also have bike games for all to participate in. The famous slow race is always a highlight. Kids are Included in these games. We follow this with a superb dinner followed by the 50/50 drawing and live entertainment. Sunday is Continental breakfast before we send you on your safe ride home. Beverage for entire weekend is included. We are kid friendly so bring the family. All for only $55 per person, kids 15 and under $5. I'm going to be there for sure... In fact im going to be there Thursday about noon to help set up and welcome the beer trailer...lol
if you come early you still have to pay the campground to camp. but come help if you want. it's going to be a blast SEE YOU THERE....

I actually took the correct week of vacation this year. So I will be there late Wednesday and or early Thursday. Can't wait to see everybody.

I can't wait... I have been working all the time,and need a 5 day weekend im looking forward to hanging out with my Moto Guzzi family

So bummed wife and I were planning for this rally and extended week riding around the Ozarks, I could still possibly make it but wouldn’t be riding the bike and wheres the fun in that? Hopefully next year is the one we finally make.

Crazy wet. Darn good time, though, and lots of good folks. I left during a short window between storm cells at about 10:30, this morning, and managed to dodge or outrun pretty much all of the storms on my way home. Just hit a bit of light rain in a few places. :bike-037:
Of course, since I'm an idiot, I neglected to pack any gear for riding in rain or cool temperatures. Not only did I not have rain gear or my heavy jacket, I didn't even have so much as a long sleeved shirt. Doh! :violent1: Oh, well. A quick stop at the Wal Mart in Cameron for some thermal underwear and a heavy flannel shirt, a quick change in the bathroom, and I was good to go. All part of the adventure. :thumb:

Had a good time at the rally.
Rode out Thursday. Got a couple of drops of rain coming through central Wisconsin, then sprinkled at most infrequently afterwards. Friday was a nice relaxing day hanging out, watching folks arrive and KB cooking chili and quaffing a few brews. Band was great. Saturday was spent under shelter chatting with people I hadn't ever talked to before or catching up with old friends.
Left Saturday afternoon to try to catch up with a young German friend who was playing a show in Des Moines Iowa. Got there with a few minutes to spare before the band, Mental Cruelty, went on. HEAVY METAL! As an opening act they only have to play 30 minutes. Didn't watch the other acts, but was able to catch up and have dinner with him.
Rode on to Animosa yet Saturday night arriving about 1am with dry skies.
Sunday was another wet one but I managed to be heading towards the lighter spot in the clouds. Attended the WMGR meeting at Tom and Deb Kelly's place in Spring Green. There had been a heavy storm come through earlier in the day and left all kinds of debris in the roads.
Arrived home 5ish and had to set out all my wet camping gear to dry.
Every day I get to motorcycle is a good day. And no I don't take pictures.
