On the BMW's, is the mileage 20k =/-, or is it 120k =/-.
I can't imagine selling a motor with 20k miles @ $1,000, of course the bids would go up, but still.
If they're 120k, well, I'd kick the tires and move on.

As an aside, my 2000 BMW R1100 RS has just over 86,000 miles. One clutch, and basic maintenance and still runs fine.

Straight-up 25k by the looks of it.  Involved in an accident with another motorcycle.  They claim it runs well; fairing and fender are a bit trashed.  Est. 5K to repair and the department said "no thanks". So off to auction it went.

Law enforcement vehicles while having low miles sometimes have a long time idleing .  With no hour meter there is no real way to tell.
