Title: V50-III rocker arm rail torque?????
Post by: not-fishing on August 12, 2018, 07:21:11 PM
My son's doing a valve adjustment screw replacement on the V50-III we resurrected.  We purchased parts for the repair and now I want to make sure the rocker arm rail goes back at the right torque specs.

Does anyone know the torque specs for the rocker arm rail nuts?

thanks,

Mark Younger

M10-1.5 nuts with 17 mm hex? Those are also the head nuts. 30 ft. lbs.

Thanks Charlie, I relayed it to my son.

We kept pulling up pictures showing a torque wrench on the rocker "spindle" that referenced the head torque but didn't make the connection.

Now we know.

This should cure his frustration with the one valve always loosening up on him after he had set clearances.
