I like the black one. Blue bike looks akward.
Foes File design mean they filed for a patent???
-
I predict that will sell just as well as the XLCR did back in the day .

First HD I even care to look at since the XLCR, But the "lifestyle" riders probably won't care for it much. I'll take that back, I like Rudy's Harley :thumb:

There are two bikes in the article . I was referring to the Cafe bike. Your prediction really doesn't mean anything fortunately, since you probably haven't bought a new bike since before I was born. :boozing:

I like the black one. But I won’t buy a Harley ever since they shuttered Buell. Just personal opinion but they pandered don’t much to boomers that I’m like “too late to change my mind”.
-
Have to admit the black one looks pretty cool.
-
The black one looks like eye candy or bike porn. I like it. Won’t buy one but would love to test ride.

That looks like a re styled version of Harley's street 750 water cooled platform. They have not been very popular so far . I thought they were made in India, but not sure.
Its a handsome looking bike in certain respects, but too "plasticky", overall, with many funky looking plastic covers, etc. Reminds me of the engine bay of modern cars, where they try to cover all the mechanical bits with styled plactic covers, so you dont see all the rough, ugly components underneath. It takes a special touch to make mechanical things attractive so they can be displayed, as opposed to covered up.
Rick.

Where did you glean all that knowledge? Man, you must have studied the drawings very carefully. I just saw a form, black and some metal color, and brembo dual disc up front.

Sorry , you must have missed the XLCR reference which was HD's original cafe racer . Maybe try reading for comprehension instead of being a smartass all of the time . Fair enough ?

Why is are the turn signals and taillight 8" off the ground on the Blues Clues one?
Both bikes look disproportionate to me. Giant globs of motor and bulbous exhaust topped an itty bitty seat and tank. With a café bike less is more not more is more. And those Tron looking headlights/front enads like on a Pan America gotta go.
I don't dislike them because they are Harley. I dislike them because they are fugly.

Guys..
The blue one is garbage..!
It looks like one of those plastic child’s toy bikes that they scoot around with their feet. The black one maybe if it was the last thing on earth, but....Jeeez.

This mean the cafe craze is coming back?
Hope so....prolly can sell my cafe’d small block then.

No it means Harley likes to be 10 to 80 years behind the curve of whats in vogue.

I kinda liked the blue one. :) I would ditch the headlight though... Its not 1985... Im thinking a big round one like the old Suzuki GS1100... you know.. 1983. :)

i am not in the market for a harley ...and won't be but my vote would be for the black one. the light blue one does look strange - yes, like a kid's toy. red or even yellow might work. i completely agree with the comment here about the headlight. that headlight is too small in relation to the rest of the bike and the grill thingie above the headlight looks ridiculous. a large round headlight would be in keeping with the dimensions of the rest of the bike.

Yep..
Smacks of a project at a TAFE college, where everybody builds a piece and then they spend an hour and a half pop riveting it together.

Every time I see one of these new sport machine designs from The Motor Company, I see my Buell S2 Thunderbolt and remember how I felt when the ax fell. It was nothing personal, it was just business. Honestly, I hope Harley builds these and the people will come.
