I needed a little project, and this 2006 Honda VTX 1300C fit the criteria.
It got the "once-over" and pulled both wheels and sanded n polished. Fluid changes, carb cleaning, valve adjustments and general cleaning polishing, etc.

Added the galactic standard Cobra sissy bar/ rear rack and then fabricated some lower wind deflectors.

Put about 700 miles on it and it's behaving well.

Nice motorsickle now. That model is reliable as a truck

Wow, very shinny! Do you have any before pics?
And by "project", did it need any work done on it?
I often get the desire for a project (not a big one, just one of those "hasn't been started in 3 years" types), but then I realize I have several bikes in the garage that need some work/attention and I should just go work on what I already have!

I just picked up a 2010 NT700 with ABS original
Owner 14K on the clock
Got to say that is one sweet ride
Every time I ride it I know I made the right choice

And I ran across this out in the wild.

I do not have any "before" pics.
This bike was in decent shape for a 2006 model with 18,xxx miles. No real issues that couldn't be resolved in a few hours.
The aluminum wheels had some pitting which required sanding/polishing. All fluid flush, nut -n- bolt, valves, carb, remove wheels, shaft assembly, etc.
The paint is in nice shape with a couple of very minor paint chips.

Thankfully, I have never felt the need! DonG

Damn, I like those! When they brought the Deauville (Euro name for it) to the States, I went to the Honda dealer to check them out. They even made them in my favorite color (a burgundy shade). But then, I compared it with my K75RT and couldn't convince myself to replace it (the BMW and I have a history).
But I love Hondas, and if you don't have a possibly irrational attachment to K75RTs, this one's a winner. I have only seen one in the wild, and it was well-run, with a lot of miles on it. Popular in Europe, not so much here.
Think you'll be very happy with it.

:boozing:
the more i work on the Guzzi, the more I appreciate my Hondas. And the Harley.
Simple......easy to work on. I promise never to cuss a Harley engineer, or a Honda one either. :cheesy:
EDIT: it's mainly that air box thing. And the wiring.....

Timely topic for me...
After over 20 years with my '84 SP/NT, I am guzzi-less. I sold it, as I could not deal with its heft any longer. My chronic back pain dictated that It would have been a matter of time before I would have ended under the bike.
So, I decided to downsize with a machine weighing at least 100 lbs. less.
And here it is:
(https://i.ibb.co/8PzNbg6/1973-Honda-350-Four.jpg) (https://ibb.co/8PzNbg6)
(https://i.ibb.co/X5xg2Wp/CB-350F.jpg) (https://ibb.co/X5xg2Wp)
An almost completely original bike (minus the 4 into 4 original pipes) with 3600 miles on it. I would have loved it if a 350cc Guzzi had been available, but this will do for a few more years.

Those were really cool little bikes. It’ll be hard to find the original exhaust as the 350/4 was rare as hens teeth.
