Title: NGC any Harley / Aermacchi fans?
Post by: Canuck750 on April 13, 2021, 10:58:28 PM
I have finaly seen the light and bought my first Harley ,  the spaghetti western verison of the Aeramcchi 250, in this case what is more or less a 1966 250 Sprint. I bought a frame, swing arm, gas tank and tool box that was in a fire and covered in surface rust. A couple years ago I found an unloved 1966 250 Sprint motor I rebuilt last year. I picked up a set of triple clamps and a pair of forks off a 1968 Sprint, the front hub is off a Honda Black Bomber. The swing arm and rear wheel is off a 1970 350 Aermacchi moto cross model. The Sprint rear fender is not right for this bike and the seat is from a Benelli thats just resting in place.

I have found an Aermacchi Ala Verde 250 gas tank and the left tool box, foot pegs and various other bits from a fellow in CA and a set of low flat handle bars in Italy.

I am looking for a set of forks from an earlier Sprint, circa 1962 ~ 1965 and a matching front fender, these fork lowers have a tab near the axle support that takes a fender bracket and the fender is slim. I am also looking for a slender rear fender for a 1966 Sprint.

This is the front fender and forks I am after

And the rear fender I am looking for

If anyone has or knows where I could find these forks / fenders please send me a PM.

Thanks!

Jim

Have lusted after one of those for years now...should have pulled the trigger when they were affordable over here as they are now rare and sought after ! Another dream was a Gillera Saturno but equally unobtainable without selling kidneys.....

Too bad he won’t part it out. That’s the same front end as I have, maybe I can use what I have and look for that type of front fender, looks ok
Thanks
Jim

You might check with this guy, back when I had a Sprint or was working on one for a friend, I bought a few parts there.
