Title: [photo] 2nd Spark Plug Prep in Stelvio Head (AC Engine Code)?
Post by: Bonaventure on April 28, 2018, 07:47:24 AM
Photo of my bike.  Why the 2nd hole, is it for a dual spark setup that never happened?  The lead off code on the engine number is "AC."

Quick tip:  See that peice of 3/8" fuel line lying next to the socket extension?  That is a great way to grab the spark plug out of the hole after loosening, and a good way to re-install the plug.  Slip the fuel line onto the ceramic, grips just enough to turn it in the threads yet comes off very easily.  You can thread the plug right up to gasket contact this way with zero risk of cross threading.

Some parts are shared w/Cali14 engines. That's how smart production works.

Aha, makes sense.  So they're same heads as on the California 1400.  Cool.

Not the same heads, the same cam tower.
