I had one back in the day. Peaky power band. 0-60 it was very quick. Really fun to ride. Suzuki advertised it as a Triumph 500 beater.

I had a 74 model which I rode all over northern Mexico on a trip. Fun bike, awful brakes in the wet
and small. At6!4”, I was told that I looked like a monkey ing a football when riding it.

I bought a restored 250 GT for my then girlfriend to learn to ride on. Fully restored and lovely to ride. She never sat on it. I rode the wheels off it though. Great fun strokers and a bit more docile than a Yamaha RD.

My English teacher bought one new, rode it from Massachusetts to DC and back.
I rode one 10 years later, nice bike.

I have a 1970 T250II. All original. Wonderfull little bike. My BIL and I had 'the race' this summer. He has a 1972 Yamaha 250 twin and I have this one. I followed him on rolling starts and let him get the jump but I caught and passed him 3 out of 3. With the 6 speed trans it cruises easily at 60 mph and isn't even really 'on the pipe' yet. I had it up to an indicated 98mph. I suppose with just a tad bit of work it would hit the ton.

Just finished running in this little baby after rebuilding her. She'd been put away in 1996 and left for 22 years before I rescued her. She's now the goto bike for day to day running around. Fantastic fun!(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181016/45b69963dd69a12cad1ad6ce2e83f73c.jpg)

Same thing happened to me in a previous life..
I also presented my then girlfriend with something that I thought she would enjoy and she wouldn't sit on it either..
Talk about ungrateful...!

Giving a GF a motorbike that appeals to "you", yeah, that's a good plan
