Perfect bike night rider.....Honda 350f Tetanus’s Twin
« on: May 15, 2019, 11:19:45 AM »
The spirit of Rollie Free please forgive me, but for $475 I really want this for a bike show/bike night..Runs as it should.... :boozing:

What a perfect collection of all the wrong parts, rusting to a perfect patina and it runs! What could be better? Huge windscreen...ape hangers...monster back rest...now just where can you find all that in one place?

It goes on...no side covers...mixed color parts!

A service buddy bought one of those new , got a chance to ride it for a few miles . It was among the worst motorbike experiences I've ever had , literally no torque below 5K RPM's , handled poorly , grips and pegs buzzed , sounded like a child's toy .  Can't imagine one would get better with age

Now THAT'S a rat-bike! Still priced too high, though. I'm trying to envision the persona of the guy who put those bars on and thought it was a cool idea. On a stock, un-interesting  Jap bike.

It was what it was & is what it is. So sad. Shameful, really.  A nice one would look good sharing space with the GB500TT.  R3~

When I was a novice on my first bike, a '72 Honda 350 CL, a cousin to that bike but with two cylinders, I saw one of those on the freeway and expressed envy of those additional two cylinders.

My riding mentor said " Don't worry, yours has more power ".
That's the combustion chamber of the turbo shaft. It is supposed to be on fire. You just don't usually see it but the case and fairing fell off.

The twin had two more ponies than the four and weighed less. That set of organ pipes in back were heavy, even after rusting out.
My first bike was a 73 model like the one in the op, but it was stock. Threw on a set of Jardine slip-ons and you could feel the difference, mostly due to weight reduction.
A friend had a CB360 (no, they weren't 360cc, it was a 350 with a six gear tranny) and the four was the better riding bike. Very smooth when set up properly. Mine took the girlfriend (later wife and now ex) all over. 60 mph was 6k rpm but it didn't seem to mind as it liked to rev.
I parked it for several years and then pulled it out and tidied it up a bit. It felt tiny and gutless then as my ride then was a 75 GL.
I sold the four to a kid for his first bike.

Chuck, If you get the bike I have a pair of red side covers for it. Also a Windjammer style faring with the correct mounts also red.
The parts are in Southern Minnesota. Stop by anytime and pick them up.

That really doesn't have the correct patina to be compared to Tetanus. The seat cover is still intact. Parts haven't rusted off..
